“Sex So Hot You’ll Need to Crank the A.C.!”

“Oh My Goddess! The Sex Move He Will Worship You For.”

These are just a couple of the racy headlines that grace the covers of women's magazines like Cosmopolitan. But while Cosmo promises tips on how to impress others, another magazine—which also encourages women to talk frankly about sex—is attempting to make a name for itself by going at things from a slightly different angle.

The magazine is called Sensheant. And rather than focusing on pleasing others, it features story titles like "Owning Sexual Identities," "Staying Sexually Active after 50," "BDSM: Setting the Scene for Safe Play," and "Taking a Stand Against Negative Body Image."

Editor-in-chief Rebecca Church and creative director Cynthia Spence explain the motivation behind their publication, and how they hope it will change our conversations about sex.
